Enneagram Dimensions

Would you like to discover your enneagram point of view? Here's an enneagram test to help you narrow the possibilities.

  • To take the test, you need Microsoft Excel.
  • There are 180 questions (20 for each enneagram type).
  • When you open the Excel file, you'll see a spreadsheet with two columns. The first column, RATING, is blank. The second column has a list of statements (e.g., "My desire to think positive can sometimes be like an addiction.")

Take the test: In the RATING column, please rate how well you think each statement describes you:

  • 0 = not at all
  • 1 = somewhat
  • 2 = pretty well
  • 3 = very well

HINT: Trust the first answer that comes to mind!

See your results: Click on the ENNEAGRAM TEST RESULTS TAB (on the left bottom edge of the spreadsheet) and print them out with CTRL - P.

Interpret your results: The highest possible score for any point of view is 60. So the following chart should give you a general idea of how to interpret your results.

  • 45 - 60 = Strong indicator for type
  • 30 - 44 = Possible indicator for type
  • 15 - 29 = Weak indicator for type
  •   0 - 14 = Very weak indicator for type

If you're completely unfamiliar with the enneagram, click here for a brief description of each point of view.

If your results seem unclear, try to look not just at your total score, but at your entire pattern of responses. You can see which statements go with each point of view by scrolling over to the right on the spreadsheet containing the test.
